ITALY 28/03/07
26/03/07-
11am Bishopton coffee shop for a full fat fry up, it was then onto the bus and heading for Prestwick!
arriving at Prestwick rather early we decided to sit on the grass and enjoy a few beers!!! But PC Plum wasnt very happy and
we nearly had the jail before we even left the country! £100 fine, my arse!!!
4pm lift off and the LTA are off to Italy (via Paris) a drunken flight to Paris and a further
3 hour drunken wait at the airport and the LTA WERE REALLY OFF TO ITALY
10:45pm Drunken and full o the banter the flight arrived at just before midnight in Rome, we board
our private bus and head for the hotel! "bus driver Lorenzo gutted at our late arrival" stay in Hotel bar and get " acquainted" with the staff as we spend plenty of Euros! the nigth finally ends
with a stagger to the local kebab shop!
27/03/07
10:30am We decided to do our first ever sight seeing trip on our LTA travels, So off into town we went,
and 5 min later we were left bemused as we hit the subway, but we had our very own jonny foreigner in Garbo! worked out the
subway ticket machine and we were off into the City! Arriving in glorious sunshine we decided to settle into some bar as we
waited to board our tour bus around Rome, when it eventualy turned up we were off around Rome. Passing the coliseum.....................
then it was over we were suddenly at the vatican " i had managed to fall asleep on the bus" we spent an hr or so walking around
the vatican and it seemed that most other tourists wanted to take photos of us than the popes house! (who would blame them,
sorry Dave). Once all the tourist chores were done it was normal LTA duty resumed and we hit "druids" till the early hours!
28/03/07 Match day
7am 12 of the 15 manage to make the train leaving Richy, stew b and downsy jnr behind! the journey was
as expected very long and very boring unless you are Greg, Digger, Micky or Suzy who managed 2 drink 2 btl of rum which explained
why they were bouncing off the train when we eventualy arrived in Bari!
Arriving in Bari it was very sunny but bloody freezing and it was the double of Largs! we found a small swank place to
eat (the waiters even wore bow ties). The food was orderd and when it arrived it went from the best place in town to the worst
(good choice neily). The rest of the day was spend ignoring the booze ban drinking plenty of beer in the local bars and meeting
the local police who were more than happy to pose for photographs and a new chant of "you can shover f*****g booze ban up
yer ass"
